Trek

Tori and Eli were able to go on trek this summer with our stake. It was tricky finding clothes and shoes for them. (In the end, they both wore pioneer-ish clothes and regular shoes.) The weather was as bad as it could have been. I was worried as I heard reports from the area. I thought that maybe they'd come home complaining and would have nothing but bad memories. However, they mostly talked about fun and positive things - and joked about the weather. They independently told me that it helped them feel closer to the others in our ward. Also, Tori later talked about how some of the young men in the ward were negative and disrespectful, but that Eli was helpful and kind. I was so pleased, and very proud of them both!

I got these pictures from the bishop's post.
I'm including this picture of the hail. Poor Gabe Barlow.
Drying shoes and gloves.
Pioneer puppy?
