Elk Calling and...Volleyball

Jonah had a fun opportunity with his 11-year-old scout troop recently. His leader, Bro. Glade Allred, is one of those extra-mile scouters. He took the boys camping and "elk calling." They got up at 4:00 am and hid in prime locations while Bro. Allred called the elk so they could see them up close. He told me they didn't see as many as in past years, but Jonah had a great time.

Tori has been playing with friends on a rec. volleyball team. Her cousin, Eve, was also on the team. This is her second year, and her skills have improved enormously! Her serves, in particular, are really consistent. John was the assistant coach, but he has had to miss some games and practices due to some late nights at work - but it was a fun opportunity. She really seemed to enjoy it.
