Mormon Helping Hands

Every year our stake does a big Mormon Helping Hands project. This year we helped clean and fix up Ricketts Glen. It is a PA state park with lots of trails, waterfalls, and a lake. Our ward was assigned a trail on the south end. We cut overhanging branches, painted sign posts, cleared trails, etc. I was proud of how the kids worked. Eli in particular: for a while he had a rake, and he groomed that trail 'til it was spotless. It was fun to be a part of a big group project like that.
This is just part of our ward team.  At least six other adults worked elsewhere.
One of the little waterfalls.
Clearing the trail.
A rare flower a ward member identified.  I don't remember what.  That's Spencer Vasquez in the back.

I'm glad they enjoyed doing service. It looks like they had some fun doing other things too!
