Our Little Tornado

This is how our trampoline looked after our trip.  Before taking this, I had pulled it down a little, but John had  to work on it to get it untangled and down all the way.  I am going to quote what I wrote in an email at the time:

"We got back yesterday from a wonderful trip to Utah. As we came around the bend, I looked at our house and exclaimed, "Our tramp is gone!" John looked at the trees on the other side and said, "There it is!" It was mangled and hanging up among the branches. Then we continued up the hill and saw our lawn strewn with garbage (still don't know where the garbage can got to), a drain pipe, mailbox, ....etc.   In the back, our swingset was down, as was a large tree. The neighbors came over and said the power was out for days, so we'll need to clean out the fridge, and the water came in under shut doors and windows, so we should look for water damage. They said it was a tornado; they hid in their basement. I know there were a few small tornadoes in Elmira, so it would be interesting if we could confirm that. Ah, New York. Good to be home. :)

I'm not sure what can be salvaged from the trampoline. We haven't gotten all of it down yet. We need to call some people this weekend to help. The rest isn't a big deal, but we really do miss the tramp. (The swingset is bent but OK. It's just a cheap small one the last owners left, and the slide was already messed up.) Since the string of storms, things have been really humid. We're worried about our things downstairs, so we're quickly trying to find affordable dehumidifying options."
