St. George in April

We hadn't planned on taking this trip. If you read previous posts, you'll see that we had already gone on a couple of little trips. (And we have since gone on a big trip.) However, John was going to a conference in St. George, and his colleague was taking his family. Free lodging was tempting, but I wasn't sure if it was going to be worth getting things ready for a substitute at school, etc. But it was definitely worth it!

We loved the beauty of St. George. Tori decided she wants to go to Dixie State (DSU now) and was picking out places where she wanted to live. We found so many fun places to go. But it was very laid-back. We'd wake up late, go to a state park trail, and then go back to the hotel for a swim. (The kids swam, while I watched and read a good book.) Then we'd meet up with John and get some dinner. We also did some shopping at the outlets. I was lamenting the fact that Eli was the most interested in shopping, which is a dramatic change from a year or two ago. He's growing up.
Evening hike with John.
Jonah fell in the water near here, and it was deep!
Tori's crazy face that she often makes.
Mongolian BBQ. It was fun and yummy!

I hope we can go to this conference with John again next year! Things will be trickier now that Eli will be in high school.
