It's Great To Be Eight!

Tori has been looking forward to her baptism for a long time. Whenever we talked about the Barrus reunion in the summer, Tori would always remind us that it was her baptism too. She was so excited to have family coming to see her baptized. So was I. It wouldn't feel the same without a big group to show support on such a special day. (My mom would have come as well, but we agreed that it would just be too crowded already. A good kind of crowded, but nonetheless...)

I took these first pictures in a huge rush right before everyone headed to Harmony PA.  I wanted something to put on the front of her program.  I was rushing so much and there were so many bugs, that my poor Tori was a bit out-of-sorts.  So we were lucky to get a few cute ones.  (She really wanted her picture taken by the temple, as she'd seen done for a little friend of hers on Facebook.  Unfortunately, the day we were there during the reunion, it was raining really hard.  It stopped after, but we never had another chance.  We'll still do it.)
Dang bugs.
At the last minute, John had to wear this ill-fitting jumpsuit.  He was a good sport (and hopefully will be when he sees I've posted these photos).
I was going to take more pictures of the group we had at the baptism.  In addition to sweet ward members, we had 25 relatives - well, including us.
Chloe from the ward, and cousin Eve with Tor.

What a beautiful day.  John and Charlotte gave very nice talks, and my kids and Eve sang the Armies of Helaman primary song for a special number.  John baptized and confirmed Tori. My parents gave her some scriptures, and the Primary presidency gave her a pretty white bracelet.

(John's Mom fell off our front porch the night before and so she and Clara stayed at our place, which was sad.  They were on the program, but we changed it at the last minute.)

I am proud of my big girl!
