Ithaca's Science Center

I was able to go with Tori to her fieldtrip at the Ithaca Science Center.  It was very impressive.  It is like other children's discovery museums mostly (except all science) but it is a little higher quality.  And it has things that I genuinely enjoyed and found interesting.  I was also glad to be on the fieldtrip because I had a chance to get to know the kids in Tori's class better.  I had gone to lunch with her a few times and had talked with a few of the kids around us at the table.  I had concluded that there were really no kids I felt excited about her being friends with.  (That sounds harsh, but this is largely a rural, blue-collar kind of area and the kids that sat around us seemed a little rough for my quiet, sheltered little girl.)  However, they were sweet kids and I really liked her little best friend, Sara, below:
Tori's teacher, Mrs. Soprano, (above in the background) was wonderful.  She loved Tori.  I also really liked Eli's teacher, Mrs. Lupo.

We liked the Science Center so much that I took the other kids back and got a membership.  Here they are having fun:
Here are the kids looking for the queen bee.  In the picture below, they've found her.

It looks like a really fun place. I love Maggie's hair in the last photo. It's really gotten long, and so curly!
