I have whipped out a whole bunch of posts to get caught up. Continue until you get bored.
One More Time....
Today was the first day of school again! We got chosen to attend a charter school through a lottery system last week. We really agonized over the decision, in part because uprooting the kids after the year had started seemed rough. However, Eli and Tori seemed willing to consider it, and then, once they had toured the school, were really excited. John and I went to the temple, and felt good about the decision. This morning, Eli got out of the van, waved goodbye, and seemed excited to go. He told me after that it was the best day of school ever. Tori was nervous when I took her in the afternoon, but after I left, I peeked back in and she was surrounded by kids like she was some kind of celebrity. (I think starting late has been a good thing: they're getting a lot of attention.) The day before we started, we had a meeting with the asst. principal and met with the teachers. I love how small the school - and classes - are. And I love the uniforms! (I just wish I hadn't purchased other school clothes before this.) I'm impressed with the curriculum, but that's not why I wanted to switch. I just want to feel like they are being looked after and that they won't get lost in the shuffle?) Tori gets more pictures, because she cooperated. In Eli's defense, though, I didn't get his pictures before school, because of the rush, and he didn't want the afternoon sun shining in his eyes.)
