Girls Night Out

I need to get to bed, but I thought I'd post these quickly. John is at the stake father and sons campout, so I thought I'd do some things with Tori and Maggie. We went to get Tori's hair cut and straightened, which she loves and then we used a coupon to get some frozen yogurt. When we got home, I did her nails and then we went to the pond to shoot some pictures. She wanted to do a fashion show and it kind of evolved into the quick photo shoot.

I'm happy with the cute little pictures, but I look forward to getting my sister-in-law or one of my friends who's good at photography to do some family pictures for me soon. I just don't have much of a sense of composition - or a head for cool kinds of poses. This first one was her idea:

Maggie enjoyed some of the frozen yogurt, but did not enjoy the photo shoot. Mostly she just wanted to go see the ducks:
But she gamely gave me a couple of smiles early on. (What kind of mom makes you do this on a girls'night out?)

I would have enjoyed this evening more if I didn't have so many things to do tomorrow to worry about. I'd better get to bed!

As usual, you are thee best mom in the world. AND, those are such great photos! My favorite for sure is the cool first post that Tori thought of. Heehee. That is awesome.

Marnie, Tori looks so cute with her hair straight and I didn't even recognize her at first, she is getting so big. That is so fun to be able to do a girls night..
