Jonah is growing up so fast. He says pretty much anything now, except some connecting words. He often imitates Tori and Eli, and laughs at what they laugh at. He always says, "Help!" in a cranky voice when he wants me to stop helping him do something - he's saying that he wants to help. He comes and says what sounds like, "Pie, Mama, climb pie!" to me, but he's actually telling me he wants to go "up high" on the monkey bars. It scares me to have him up there, but I'd rather have him get me to help, so that I can stay by him. It's scarier when he starts climbing by himself. (We have some wooden monkey bars in our family room.) I call him my little German sometimes, because he'll say mine instead of my. He just came up to me a minute ago and said, "Here's mine coat." If I ever start eating something, he'll come take it and say, "I need apple." Jonah can be quite contrary: if we say we love him, he'll say, "Nope!" He sings songs by getting the last word of each phrase. He can also do that with prayers, which shows that my kids often say the same things when they pray. At his age, it's sometimes hard to know what he's saying when you don't get it in context. Today in the car, Jonah kept saying, "Jarvis," I thought, and I couldn't figure out what he wanted. Finally, I realized he was saying, "Joseph" and wanted to hear "When Joseph went to Bethlehem" on our Primary CD. (My kids are still really into the Primary Christmas songs.)
I need to write about the other kids, but I have to get my project for Eli's Valentine's Day party ready for tomorrow.
Here are pictures of Tori and her friends dressed up - with Jonah.
