Grandpa Barrus's Funeral

This post is a work in progress. I can't get most of our funeral pictures to upload here. I just have these from my camera from the hotel in Richfield where we stayed.

I was at Charlotte's with Noah and Echo right before Grandpa Barrus passed away. We were sitting in the room with him, Grandma Barrus, Charlotte, and Clara. The hospice nurse went to get some medication because his breathing was labored. She thought it wouldn't be long. Out of the blue, Echo looked up toward the ceiling and smiled and pointed happily for a little while. I didn't say anything at the time, but I wondered if she could see those who were coming for Harrison.

He was such a loving, fun, hard-working man. I remember when we stayed with them in Cedar City, he would always get up early and start a fire in the wood-burning stove and then go out to do chores. He was the king of dad jokes. The last few years, he would always say, "Growing old isn't for sissies," or variations on that. He looked forward to seeing his parents and loved ones again soon.
