They told us very little about him. They said they were going to go get him from his family, and we expected him to come in crying and upset, but he walked in the door in his too-big coat, holding his stuffed lion and blankie, looking like he was here for a pleasant visit. He started exploring the house and exclaiming, "Whoa!" over everything he saw. When he looked in the kids bathroom upstairs and saw two sinks, he said, "Whoa! Two!" These are two shots from that first night of exploring.
Things seemed great until bedtime. For the first two weeks, he cried a lot at bedtime, and missed his mom terribly. He would get so upset when you even mentioned that it was time for bed. But during the day, the kids played with him, and he had lots of fun.
The second night, we took him to watch Tori cheer at her first game. I'll do a post about that soon. He was so cute, stomping and clapping with the crowd. We just fell in love with him.
It was fun to take him everywhere. He loved to play with the cats (although they quickly became scared of him), and he loved to run around the house and play with the kids.
I took him to a lot of fun places like the library and the indoor playground at the rec center while the kids were at school. I had so much fun shopping for him! I have long walked past the little-kid section at the store and looked at it longingly, but suddenly, I could go in and look around with a purpose!

At the pet shop. He loved it!

He was so excited to wear a tie like the big boys.
At Lily Summers birthday party.
When he first came, they told us that he had a constipation problem, and we ended up needing to take him to the hospital to deal with it. That was a problem for a little while.
He has been a good eater. Well, he doesn't eat a lot, but he isn't picky. Right from the beginning, he'd try anything I made for dinner.
More to come!
