Christmas 2018

This was a great Christmas. The two things that stand out are having Noah with his extreme enthusiasm, and the new Play Station and VR.

Noah got a race track and lots of car-related gifts, and he got so excited about everything he opened. But he was also jumping up and down when the kids opened anything. Some of the presents were wrapped in fruit snack or cereal boxes, and he was thrilled when he saw those. His big reactions just made everything really fun this Christmas. We weren't sure what his Christmas experience had been before, but he sure enjoyed this one.

So, Jonah and Maggie have friends who got a Playstation 4 with a VR headset last year, and the kids couldn't stop talking about it. (Specifically, there was a game called Job Simulator that they loved.) Jonah came home and priced all of the elements, and it was ridiculously expensive, so that was that. But this Black Friday, the Playstation and VR were much cheaper than usual, so we got them as family gifts. Jonah was saying to the other kids on Christmas Eve, "Wouldn't it be cool if we got a Playstation?" but he said he knew it wasn't possible. So, his reaction Christmas morning was priceless. (You'll have to see the video.) It has remained a huge hit, and the kids' friends always want to play on it. I don't know if that's a good thing, but we've gotten our money's worth.

The first few pictures are of Christmas Eve. Tori isn't in any Christmas morning photos, because she was recording the video footage.

Christmas morning:
This has been one of Noah's favorite things since Christmas.
He loves this, but it's in the basement, and so it gets neglected.
Maggie got the hammock chair and rug for her room.

We went to Mom and Dad's on Christmas Day, and Noah was a little overwhelmed by the crowd at first, so he sat with Ginger in the corner. (Ginger is Kimberly's new dog.)
