Children's Museum Pics and Father's Day

Not much to tell about these photos. We had a really fun time. I like to go with others when we hit the children's museum because sometimes the kids want to go to different areas, and it's hard to keep them together. But I often decide to go places on impulse and can't give others enough notice. And this visit actually went very smoothly. There wasn't any crying until I told Jonah it was time to go. :) They've reorganized some areas there in a way that I thought was effective and good for my kids.

Hey, I didn't write about Father's Day. The most notable thing about our weekend was that John made time to take each of the kids on their "Daddy date" on Friday and Sat. He took Tori to eat at Mimi's Cafe Friday evening. (I had a good coupon.) He took Eli to a Square Foot Garden exhibit on Saturday morning. Eli is nearly as excited about gardening as John is, and they got free hot dogs, drinks and popcorn. They got to meet the Square Foot Garden guy - Mel something. Then he took Jonah to ride on the Frontrunner train. They just went to the first stop and then got on another train and came back, but Jonah loved it. He talked about it for days. After, they went to Krispy Kreme - where you may be interested to know they no longer give everyone a free donut. (We always got a drink or a few extras, so we weren't freeloading.)
That evening we got together with my side of the family to celebrate Dave's birthday and Father's Day. It was so fun! I really miss the weekly get-togethers we had when Mom and Dad were home.

On Sunday, we did breakfast in bed for John, but we were running so late, that we left him little time to get ready for church. We gave him a cute kids' book called, Because Your Daddy Loves You, which really does remind me of how patient John is with our kids. I also got him a few clothing items, which is never very exciting for him. It was a nice day.

It looks like a lot of fun. How do you have so much energy pregnant? It's all I can do to keep the kids fed and in clean clothes let alone go on outings and bike rides. You are amazing.
