More festivities

On Sat. morning, we went to the parade (pics. above). The kids loved it, but walking home, Tori fell on the sidewalk and got a big bump and bruise right in the middle of her forehead, and skinned her knee. Poor thing. Later that day, John took the kids to see Wall-E, and a new mania has begun. Kung Fu Panda has been short-changed. (We got some special earplugs when we went to Florida that the kids have worn at these two movies, and that seems to have made all the difference.) The kids' favorite game for some time has been "pet shop," where I go and pick them out as pets. Sometimes they'd switch to "zoo" where I would drive a tour bus past them, and they'd come out of their cages or stay and show the cool things they can do. After Kung Fu Panda, they were one of the animals from the movie and would surprise the people on the zoo bus with their kung fu moves. Now, I go to the "robot shop" every day.

The fireworks were at the park right in front of our house, which was great. I just had Jonah sleep inside and the kids in pajamas out front. A family in the ward came and joined us. We did sparklers before and it was a fun night.

I love that pic of Jonah. It is funny that Daisy and Goldie very often make me buy them from the pet store as well. Sometimes I have to keep buying Goldie over and over as different things and it is very hard to keep track of. Also, I agree with your last post. Hot = no fun.
