Cranky post
I'm feeling a little grumpy, which I'm sure is hard to believe. I decided to take the kids on the train, have John meet us at a station, and ride downtown for lunch. It sounds simple, doesn't it? I took Eli to preschool and then ran some errands. On the way home, I called John and said that we would pick up Eli and then head out. John thought that I meant I was doing that immediately, and I thought that he knew when preschool ended. So, the poor guy headed to the train station. Then, to make things worse, Jonah had been playing with my cell phone and had switched it to vibrate. So when John kept trying to call as time passed, my phone just quietly vibrated in my purse. When he couldn't reach me, he went ahead and got on the train he assumed we were on and headed out. I'm making this a long story. The bottom line is we finally met up at a station, but in the meantime, the kids and I waited for what seemed like forever in very cold weather and they started to cry and wanted to go home. The train was also very crowded. Ultimately, we had lunch together, and it turned out fun. In fact, I assume the kids will talk excitedly about the train ride after their naps. But then, I got home and found a big medical bill that our insurance won't cover. I won't go into the details, but it's one of those things that I don't think we should have to pay, but I also don't want to go through the hassle of fighting. We'll see.

I didn't know you could just go off and ride the train. How fun. I mean except for the things that went wrong with the fun. Still.
I hate medical bills. With Penny I was supposed to get some big ultrasound and I somehow thought I checked everything perfectly with our ultrasound, but apparently I hadn't and so something that should have been completely covered suddenly was going to cost us like 600 dollars!! I just cried and cried becasue I knew it was my own stupid fault. I think they gave in and paid for some, but those blasted bills!!
