Spring Activities

Okay, my birthday is not in the spring, but I'm throwing it into this post. The kids picked out the birthday stuff, and Tori made the cake. (It has toffee bits on the top.)

Tori and Maggie auditioned for the Vernal Theater play, The Secret Garden, but there was only one girl part. Tori was part of the children's choir in the performance:

As part of of my job overseeing the grant at Uintah High, I helped with the Green Power club. They built and raced an electric car. Our car was the talk of the race, since one of the kids came up with the idea to use a canoe as the shell of the car. They raced at a track out by the Salt Flats.

Eli and Tori both got their braces off recently. Tori is missing an adult tooth to the side of her two front teeth, and has a little peg tooth on the other side. Dr. Smuin was able to build up the little peg (below), and her retainer has the other tooth in it. Tori and Eli both have beautiful smiles now!

I took Maggie to McDonalds for a Mom-date recently. Her date was cheaper than the other kids'. :) Here she is in the McDonalds playgroundl

Eli was in a band competition at Lagoon. I don't have pictures of that, but I do have pictures of Tori and her friend, Lauren, at Lagoon that day. (Terra's band took third at the competition.) While I was at Lagoon with Tori and Eli, John took Jonah and Maggie to the SeaQuest aquarium and a fun restaurant.

For Easter, we stayed with the Wagners, and had a nice dinner with the rest of the family at my parents'. Here are the girls after church:

Jonah at the checkout stand at Walmart. Never a dull moment.

I went with the three younger kids on their fieldtrips, and helped with the field day. May was a busy month! (I don't have pictures of Tori's fieldtrip, because my phone was dead. They went to the Dinosaur Nat. Monument.)
Jonah and his friend, Kason.
Jonah's class went to the Flaming Gorge dam.

Maggie's class toured the Vernal Airport.

We love Elisa Caldwell's kids, and often babysit them. Here is Ben playing with some of our blocks:

Greg is paying for my older kids to take online coding classes. Here is Tori working on it with a study-buddy.

Here is a picture of Eli with some of his mountain biking team:
Eli is on the far left in the yellow helmet.

Jonah's class put on a juggling show. They were supposed to teach a parent at the end, but John was already pretty good.
