Vernal has so many fun things for kids in the summer. They have been doing a "brag tag" program where kids earn dog tags to put on a lanyard when they complete summer activities like hiking, making s'mores, washing the car, etc. Our favorite one was sponsored by John's work: making creations out of duct tape.
There have also been some fun classes. The local golf course held a free golf clinic for kids - and gave them each a golf club! (Maggie was too young, but she was with me when we went with the others, so they let her join in.)
Eli liked it the most - so much so, that I got him a set of golf clubs at a recent garage sale.
The girls took dance classes at the Rec. Center that were very reasonably priced. I thought the instruction was very good, and we didn't have to worry about immodest costumes or dance moves. Maggie's class was ballet, and Tori's was jazz. Tori's big dance had an African sound, so they wore animal prints - or all black.

| I was supposed to do three "crazy buns" down the back of Tori's head. She has so much hair that they were pretty big buns. |

| Maggie's "ballerina walk" was my favorite thing. |
