Bear Lake 2012

It has taken forever, but I've finished uploading the pictures from our trip to Bear Lake with my side of the family.  I can't even begin to express how much I enjoyed this.  It meant even more this year, since I'm not with at least some of my family regularly.  It just passed way too fast!

One of my favorite parts was sitting with the adults after the kids had gone to bed and watching old family slides (on video).  It was my parents' 50th anniversary, so it was a wonderful chance to hear them reminsce.  Sweet John put the kids down each night while we were with my family, so that I could be with my parents and siblings.

So, here is a sampling of the fun we had.  I love my family!  (And Papa Bear Lodge.  It's the best place for family reunions.)
This is a beautiful double rainbow we saw on the way there.

My mom and dad who generously pay for this fun vacation every other year.
Every year we are assigned the same beautiful, big suite, so I thought my kids might like some documentation of it.
Master bedroom.
Kids room.

Bathroom in between the two bedrooms.
I love these cute cousins!
Secret place to have a private game of Masterpiece.
Theater room.  I never want them to spend too much time here.  We can watch movies any time.  But what a great viewing audience.
We couldn't just walk down to our usual close beach, because the water level was too high.  This muddy beach was within walking distance, but not the best spot.
My kids love shell collecting.
This fun playground was by the beach shown above.
I think this was Rendevous Beach - with Mike's fun paddle boats.

Girls' building project.
My brothers rented some fun things.  We went out on a boat as well, but I'll have to get pictures from Rhonda.  John was able to do some waterskiing, while we enjoyed the boating experience.  Tori loved sitting at the very front of the boat.  Maggie fell asleep.

Blowing bubbles on the front porch.
My sweet sister.
Yikes, I've forgotten the name of this tabernacle.  What is the city just north of Bear Lake?  Paris?  Anway, it was beautiful.
Appreciating the acoustics.  My brother Jeff and his family sang so we could see how well the building was designed.

A back meeting room.
Eli sitting in a chair in which multiple prophets have sat.
A nearby cave.  I don't remember the name of this either.  Someone needs to leave a comment and help me out.
Dad cleaning up my kids who played where they shouldn't have. :)
You can't go to Bear Lake and not get the shakes.  Well, you can get a sundae, because they're cheaper.
Lounging and visiting with the adults is my favorite part.

Sigh.  Two more years until the next one.
