Eli was baptized on Aug. 6th. His friend, Kayden, from our ward was also baptized that day. Kayden's mom, Christine, has always done so much for our family. For the baptism, she gave Eli a binder with all kinds of pages to read beforehand and others to fill out afterwards. She had pages made for both boys to send around so that people could write their thoughts and well-wishes. (Those went in the binder as well.) She took their picture to go on the program and she even gave us her older son's outgrown suit for Eli. It was a blessing to have a joint baptism!
After, we had lunch in our church gym, due of the large number of people we had come. Eli got scriptures from my parents and some other nice things.
Here are the kids from the two families singing the rainbow baptism song. (I can never remember the name of that song.) Jonah got nervous and is exiting here:
I'm so pleased with Eli and .... well, I was going to say "his decision" since we always say that, but it probably isn't too accurate. :) I hope that future decisions like going on a mission and getting married in the temple will seem as natural and automatic. I am pleased that he is gaining his own testimony by making good choices and reading the scriptures. I have great confidence in him as he continues to make important decisions with the Lord's help. I love that boy.

I liked that, Marn. We do say how proud we are of their decision, when really they probably don't ever consider not being baptized, but how great if all those good things could keep being as clearly obvious of a next step! Anywho, glad to see these new posts. Now that you are away, I will look forward to blog or fb updates and pics all the more.
I love the pictures, and they bring back happy memories of a very special day.
