I thought people might prefer something the kids didn't mix or touch, so we got some soda pop and Otter Pops. We practiced counting money and giving change and they were so excited to get started. They were sure they were going to make enough to buy some great toys. They did pretty well, but after we covered expenses they only got $3 each. They were OK with that. And we had a lot of Otter Pops around for a long time after.

Parade, Fireworks and a Side Business

We didn't go to the activities during the week this year, but I don't remember why. I'm slowing down, maybe. Anyway, on Sat. we went to the parade and had more candy thrown at us than the kids knew what to do with. We always sit at the beginning of the parade route and people are very generous there.
