Easter

Easter was wonderful. One of the best things was actually the night before. We found some beautiful clips on lds.org that we showed to the kids. We set up little chairs around the computer and had an impromptu family home evening. The kids' responses and the spirit I felt made the holiday very special for me.

On Easter morning the kids got up early, but we still had to get them dressed quickly and move things along so that we weren't late for church. (The cold weather hurried the hunt along as well.)

We went to the city Easter egg hunt the day before. We arrived just as it was about to start. The fire engines signaled the beginning, which spooked Jonah. He cried and refused to go look for eggs. Tori was holding my other hand and didn't want to brave the crowd without me. Eli took off after a few seconds, but the crowd moved on ahead of him, making a clean sweep of the eggs as it went. We got no eggs. A sweet family in the ward gave us a few, and we headed back home vowing to never try that egg hunt again. Here are the kids expressing their displeasure:
