Haul Out the Holly

After we got home from our Thanksgiving trip, it was time to decorate for Christmas. The job that can really destroy a "holly jolly Christmas" for me is stringing lights. Luckily my sweet husband did it this year (as he usually does). He put on more lights than we have in the past, and it looks beautiful.

The kids were old enough to hang the ornaments pretty well this year. There was still some clumping, but less than in the past. Technically, we still aren't done decorating....but I think we'll call it good for this year. Maggie really hasn't bothered the tree. I had planned on keeping the bottom clear of ornaments and candy canes, but she hasn't been too interested. Weird. The kids have enjoyed the little nativity scene. I have a beautiful one that my parents brought from Jerusalem, but I never dare get it out. (In fact, I need to make sure I know where it is.)
