Happy 1st Birthday!

We had a really fun birthday party for Maggie and her cousin, Lily. I'm very sad that my pictures are dark, grainy, and kind of a weird greenish hue. But these are still some mighty cute pictures, right? Dave and Jaime bought the girls their own little cakes to dig into. Maggie was slow starting, but she ended up dumping the whole cake down her front and getting frosting everywhere. (I'm happy to report that the bright frosting washes right out of clothes!)

I made some flower cupcakes with marshmallows flattened a bit and then cut into thirds for petals and an M&M in the middle. Few things I try for the first time turn out well, but I was happy with these. A while back I had purchased pink 1st birthday party stuff, so my current limited budget didn't hold back the party fun. Yea! We also had a treasure hunt for all of the cousins. It was fun.
