Swimming and Maggie

For Eli's family birthday, he wanted to go swimming. We hadn't tried a nearby pool/rec. center, so we went last Sat. The kids really enjoyed it, but it was a little scary. You hear stories about how fast a child can drown when adults aren't vigilant, and we have four non-swimmers. I need to get them signed up for lessons. The kids' favorite thing was going on the water slide with John.

Here's a Maggie milestone update: About a month ago or so, she started clapping, and does it often. Earlier this week, she started crawling and is pretty proficient now. We've got to hurry and get gates up. Then a couple of days ago, she said, "Bye, bye" to John and waved as he left for work. We love it so much that we tell her goodbye and wave nearly every time we leave the room. The response is so positive, she loves to oblige. She can also say, "Mama" and "Dada." Last night, she woke up crying and saying, "Mama," so it killed me not to pick her up. She'll be ten months old next week.
She loves her jumper - it's hard to get a good picture of it, though. There are also some pictures of her with a friend's baby. Maggie is a happy baby.
