Party Time!
We had Tori's little friend party the day after her birthday. It was the most fun I've had at one of my kids' parties, I think. My sister, Kimberly, always comes and helps me, which is vital to any party's success. However, she often has to help with one of my younger kids. This year, I also had two girls from the ward come, and it made a huge difference. They painted the girls' nails, wrote down who gave which presents, etc. My friend Kathy came before the party and decorated the cake for me. (I did bake the cake and make the frosting, so you won't think I'm too big a slacker.) She did an incredible job, and Tori loved the cake. And John did a lot of cleaning before the girls came. So with all that help, I had more fun while the party was going, rather than just enjoying it in retrospect. It was a pajama party with Tiana decorations, but I really mixed together a lot of non-related stuff. I called it a "favorite things" party so I could do many things that girls love: dancing, manicures, fairies, princesses, pajamas, stuffed animals, etc.
