I have really stumbled upon a great thing. A woman in our stake is teaching a dance class in her basement and classes started today. I was impressed with her professionalism and her teaching style, but we were especially excited about all of the personal touches: each girl gets a "cubby" with her name on it and her picture on the wall. At the end, the teacher gave them each cute treat bags to welcome them. She put little bug stickers on the bottom of their feet during class, because she explained that the shuffle step was like smashing bugs. You don't get that kind of personal stuff at large studios. And it's $15 a month! It may seem like a stretch, but it seems like an answer to prayer. Is that silly? It's just that I didn't feel like I could justify the expense of dance classes, but Tori really, really wanted to take a class again. It's a clogging class, but this young group really is more like tap.
