Yesterday, Eli gave his first talk in primary. I held up pictures of Jesus doing various things and Eli told the stories briefly himself, with occasional prompting. For example, he told them about the lepers and how leprosy is a "sickness where they have lots of owies (sp?) and bandages all over their bodies." The topic was something about how we can learn about Jesus and Heavenly Father by reading the scriptures. We were so proud. :)
Tori and Eli love to pretend they're kitties or babies lately. It would be nice it were mostly independent play, but unfortunately, I always have to go to the pet store or the baby store (their idea) and pick them out and then take them home, feed and pet them, etc. Eli comes up with odd names for himself, like "Wuzzy." Tori is usually named "Pink."
Our primary is having a "Secret Service Agent" activity, and they've been having people dress like agents with fedoras, sunglasses, and hats to give the announcements. It caught Eli's attention, so he came home and put on his suit jacket and a camoflage hat, which made me laugh. I'm including a picture of him and Tori playing secret agent. (When they play something like this, Eli tells Tori what to do and she does it - when she's in the mood. It's pretty cute.)
Jonah is nearly crawling - he can army crawl pretty fast. He can kind of wave. He says "Dada" and "Mama," and we think he says "kitty" and "hi."
This month is a fun one. Eli has a birthday party for a friend, we have a preschool Valentine's Day party for preschool that I'm in charge of, and I'm also doing a party on Valentine's for the ward playgroup kids. John and I went to a party that our friends, the Patterson's, had on Saturday. It was just for adults, and we had a really fun time. (I know the women really well, but we all thought our husbands should socialize more.) We had everyone's kids at our place with several babysitters. There is an Elder's Quorum party for Valentine's Day on Friday and then the family party on Sunday, which is also a birthday party for Tom and me. And then the next week, we go to DisneyWorld! I wish my social calendar were always so full!
I can't figure out how to edit this darn blog properly, so my picture placement is a bit odd, I know.

Oh Marnie Marnie, why oh why will you never type again?? Now that I am totally cool like you with a blog, I keep checking yours all to no avail . . .
Wait, what if you never notice that I have even commented?? This is a disaster!! I better leave several comments to spike your attention.
Alright, even with 3 comments, if you never go to your blog, you'll never know. I suppose I could email, yet here I am, at your blog -- just like when someone keeps calling and leaving messages on your answering machine over and over and over. Luckily, for you, that is impossible.
Hope Jonah's ears are ok and kids aren't sick!! (Except I think I now hear people say sick like "awesome," so I do hope your kids are sick in that regard)
I'm still waiting. If I go to this post ONE more time and see FEB. 11th, there will be heck to pay. Oh alright, no heck to pay.
Yo, Marnie! It's been like 20 days since a post. What gives? By the way, this is Shannon.
Man alive, I check and I check, every day I check and still nothing more. I so love everything else, but come on come on already its time for a new post.Meg
